I was sort of thinking about posting some pictures when I have something pretty enough--or confusing enough--to be worthwhile, but there's been some sort of personality uproar which has brought up issues about security. My initial thought was, posting a picture = asking for trouble. So my question is--has anyone got in trouble from posting pictures on this forum, or another online growing forum? Will a person sort of always be considered iffy if he/she doesn't post a picture? I'm an uber nerd--my feelings will be hurt beyond belief if I air on America's Dumbest Criminals. I'm serious....stop laughing. If people do post pictures from a country where cannabis cultivation is illegal, is there a safe way to go about it? Or, if not safe, at least prudent?

well its never really a great idea. but ive done it, and posted many pics. i do think i might know of one person who got in trouble, or at least wasnt helped by the fact that he posted pics. I also think size counts, a tiny 1-2 plant grow is far different from a 50-200 plant operation. I just dont feel that cops are looking for small time beginning personal stash growers. Oh, and about that dude, hes nothing to worry about, at least here. and hes been gone for a while, so could be for good?
Bucshott did a thread on how to post pics. I use tinypic.com, works great, super easy and fast

Chook is from up north, what does he have to worry about? The way I see it, who's to say you're even posting a picture that you took? Or of something you've seen? What about the guys who put pictures of guys with big dicks on their e-harmony page just to be the big-dog?
Anyways, what i'm saying is if you're worried about it, make a thread. And wait until you move or at least much later to post it. Unless they can prove that your pictures were in the same place as you get busted, who cares. There's oodles of pictures out there of GR's. We tend to think we are the center of the universe. We are not.
My real problem is taking the pictures right, not posting them. They always come out fuzzy. Check them out if you want in my old posts...

Chook does not live in Canada, and even if he did I do believe it is still illegal to grow there, Drake. I think they have no real proof of any grow unless they see the pics and find out where it was and come visit. You would have to be at the top of a long list of peeps they want to bust. If you are worried about the feds. Local cops I'm sure have better things to do also. It is when you have attention brought to the grow area like traffic, or any problems that would bring the popo to come calling. So post away with no worries and enjoy life without the stress. If you grow and are always stressed out about it, how can you truely enjoy the wonderfulness of the grow. And many problems always come to paranoid peeps. Hope to see some pics of the grows soon.

Ifn it was me and i was concerned bout the po-lice i'd be postin from the local public library. Interested parties can track ISPs if they want. I dont think its solipsistic in the least to exercise a lil healthy caution in the current political climate of oh... Say Texas. Just for example. Its still gnarly here for sure. Make no mistake. Read 1984 again. Just becuz yer paranoid...

We have a couple provinces up here in Canada where you definitely do not want to get busted in. Unfortunately I did get caught in one of them way back when. We still have to be careful, we just don't get life sentences for 1 plant up here.
As far as posting pics goes, like bobbypyn said, it doesn't hurt to practice a little caution. There are so many forums out there with a lot of people on them, the cops would have to be hurting real bad to have to waste a shit load of resources to go investigate a bunch of closet personal growers with tiny lights. And who knows, maybe we're all just a bunch of thirteen year olds with pimples copying and pasting other pics from online pretending to be cool. Its not worth their time. Cops and thieves are generally lazy so don't go taking a full facial shot of yourself with 1000 plants behind you while holding up a sign with your address on it. I'm always more worried about rippers booting in the door than cops.

Well my new friends with Homeland Security just left. Nice guys. Smoked em out. Yeah jackers are definitely the greater concern regardless of yer legal status! But i cant shoot all the cops- they just keep comin like Giger's Alien no matter how many ya take out... So we just appease them with sacrificial offerings of our young for their incarceration machine that they so love. And just hope its not your kid that gets plucked next.
