If you’re like me, you’re sick and tired of waiting for Axl Rose to get off his scrawny ass and finally release the much-anticipated Chinese Democracy album. Well fuck him. Head out and score the new Beggars Ball CD, as it will simply mesmerize you. With Eddie Brnabic on guitar, D.K. Revelle on vocals and Jaanus Salm supplying the thunderous beat, they deliver more than a maternity ward nine months after a long blackout in a major city. I know what you’re thinking; hey numb nuts, you left out the bassist. No I didn’t. As this goes to press the band is without and is currently looking for that missing piece to their hard rocking puzzle.
I whipped out an e-mail to Eddie saying I’d kick my cat across the room if he’d grant me a chance for an interview and he climbed aboard. Good news for SKUNK magazine and our readers, bad news for my cat.
THE INTERVIEW:
Mojo Len: Your band has been under the radar and you kind of just fell on our lap. Without hearing much about you guys I knew you’d fit in tight with our readers.
Eddie Brnabic: Awesome dude, glad to hear that.
I fucked with a pal of mine and told him I received a copy of the much awaited Guns and Roses, Chinese Democracy and then I let him listen to HELLUVA RIDE. It blew him away. I told him the truth afterwards and he was just as juiced if not even more excited that something new is about to hit.
(laughs) Right on that’s killer man.
It’s inevitable that you would be compared to somebody. Does it bother you that Guns and Roses came up right away?
GNR is my favorite band actually so not at all.
You’re real busy working both ends, the music and the business side.
Oh yeah it’s a big job. We’re writing the music, trying to record. We’re finishing off the new CD that HELLUVA RIDE will be on. I’m running the whole myspace thing myself, all the promoting. Hell we’re real broke right now with no money behind us at all. We’re kind of using everything out of our pockets to get as much out there as we can.
