Parents 4 Pot Holiday Drive – Week 5

WE ONLY HAVE FIVE DAYS TO GO! The Parents 4 Pot elves made their first run through the halls with gifts shipped out on many different sleighs. We hope to bring smiles to 50 families who need a bit of hope and cheer!

We are incredibly thankful for the SKUNK Magazine team’s support of our mission to help others over these past several years. One family at a time, we connect together and together we make things happen.

There are still many gifts on our families’ wish lists. We encourage you to help. It’s easy to shop for them by clicking on the link at the end of each of their stories on our website.

Here are highlights of five of these very special families.

The Gloor Family

Prisoner of War (POW) Lance Gloor was sentenced to 10 years in prison for pot. His daughter, Ashley who is 19 attends Arizona State University. She plans to work as a pediatric physician’s assistant with a degree in Kinesiology. It’s important to help older children succeed…

The Thomas Family

In the last few weeks, POW Larry Thomas was released from prison because they didn’t want to pay for his medical expenses when he became incredibly ill. Larry is home with his family as he should be. He still has to do 10 years on parole and 6 years with no license. His family drives long distances for his medical care several times a week.

The Ray Family

Eight-year-old Nathaniel Ray and his family left Alabama for Colorado to find the right medical cannabis to treat his epilepsy. Nathaniel’s parents are still looking and at a great expense. His father is also looking for work that will allow him to care for his family.

The Schmidt Family

The Schmidt Family are Kansas refugees who relocated to Colorado. Their daughter Emelyse has many complicated medical conditions including Cerebral Palsy and Hydrocephalus. Cannabis has helped her greatly to live a more comfortable life.

The Finnemore Family

Shaun Finnemore is a father of two and a hard core Rhode Island activist who helps others. His garden was robbed, and he faces some serious medical issues. He is also a recipient of a Magical Butter Machine generously donated by the Magical Butter Machine company. For the last two years, we’ve been honored to team up with the Magical Butter team. We choose our recipients carefully and make sure they can use the use machines.
