Taking Advantage of Medical Patients

Taking advantage of medical patients.

With the existence of a legal medical cannabis program in Canada, the Government have accepted that many people are in need of cannabis to treat their medical conditions. But instead of allowing these patients to access their medicine for free at no cost to anyone by allowing them to grow their own, they have forced patients to purchase from a select few “Licensed Producers”.

The cannabis grown by a Licensed Producer is the same cannabis anyone can grow at home. The only difference is that it financially benefits the government when purchased through these LPs. This shows a lack of compassion from the Government, as well as their obvious and unethical attempts at monopolizing a plant that still has no documented negative health effects.

Can no one see the massive flaws and bias in this system? And these are medical patients we’re talking about, who truly need marijuana as a medicine! Meanwhile, the rest of the world is legalizing the plant for recreational use which is generating billions in tax revenue dollars.

Doctors argue that smoking cannabis is unhealthy, and ingesting the plant would be the healthiest way to consume it. That being the case, why would a MEDICAL cannabis program not supply concentrates and edible forms of cannabis? A medical cannabis patient isn’t even legally allowed to make edibles using their prescribed medicine!

Wake up Canada! Stop letting the Governments take our liberties for their own gain.
